Costa Ballena Regional Productive "La Productiva" is achieving much more with our initiatives by creatively eliminating costs throughout the region with the regional promotion project selection. We work on many exciting projects to help improve the lives of the inhabitants of Costa Ballena, and are very proud of the progress we continue to make. EXAMPLES OF COOPERATIVE PROJECTS
By taking a small monthly payment from each user of the network, or local business of the region we can amplify the power of our money raised by youth leadership programs within the system, and put it together to solve some of society's lingering issues. Offically businesses can buy advertising, or monthly network access, and all goes back to real projects. Officially they are regional advertising projects and we feel doing real things in the community is actually great advertising. For example, building a medical clinic or a recycling center or a free bus acting as a mobile billboard is all great advertising for participating businesses and our region if we can make it national or international press. Every Project will be funded by funds raised by community, and a sign on site which several local businesses can participate in funds matched by funds raised directly by Costa Ballena United acts as an insurance policy to make sure groups reach their goals.

The Costa Ballena Directory has more accurate search capabilities then google, acting as a local-only "safe Search Engine", including a Local product delivery catalog, jobs board, restaurant menus, local videos, photos, Amplified Blog Systems, and Articles streamed in a live feed designed to help get content creators traction. Plus an educational catalog and learning center, as well as our Own Media Channels fed by YouTube and others like Vimeo. We even have our own "Digital Download System" to sell our training and Books Online, and even a Soundcloud plugin soon all with a complete TV guide style interface.
Social Media is supposed to be about connection not division and the network is the key!
A Cross between a Grocery Store or Farmers Market, A CSA (Vege and packaged product Delivery), and a Community Garden Waste prevention System, this program sets up a place for the exchange of goods and services in each zone ran by volunteers from each zone, who can work in exchange for food in addition to some required volunteer time.

Producers are encouraged to keep their products in stock in stores through central pick up and delivery systems which work with the farmers markets as well, who hand off food delivery services and go back to just being a once a week social event.

Community Gardens and Greenhouses.
Community Gardens give us the opportunity to connect to the soil and contribute in a way that benefits us all. When you get involved in a community garden the rewards are far greater than the food it produces. Each community member is also assisted with growing in their own home with access to classes from local experts.

In addition, members are assisted with placement of their products with local markets and assisted with meeting quality standards through central kitchens for those making products that easily expire.

Funding Our School Systems with our Recycling!
With the Placement of 6-12 Plastic Grinders and Bin Systems near local schools, in each zone we will create revenue for the schools through sales of keychains in the shape of Whales Tails and Blue Morpho Butterflies, created through the collection of clean plastics.
By selling at local businesses they will have an opportunity to make money and 100% of the proceeds go back to the schools once the program is funded. We will combine this with a public reduction initiative moving stores to recyclable bottles only, before the national mandate.

Eliminating the #1 Expense for Most People!
Transportation is the #1 expense we all face when traveling to or living in Costa Rica. This is also true for the locals as vehicles and motorcycles are very expensive here. Imagine affordable transportation is the key to attracting tourism and the financial livelof the future and solving now sustainably is a brilliant strategy forward.

Imagine Busses every hour for FREE going each direction. Only 3 Busses running on Cooking oil, selling advertising to local businesses to make it sustainable would be a profit-generating entity, creating money for other causes while offering free transportation to many. We only need to supplement the existing bus -system.

Supplemented by a collectivo service (500 colones) running beach to the bus stop and to the main bus station, it needs to put into place as well to deal with the geographic size and keep city taxis drivers involved.

At Costa Ballena Regional Cooperative, we are dedicated to creating a strategy in case the pandemic spreads, including purchasing and warehousing extra medical supplies, creating mobile treatment teams, and safe reporting sites and systems. Stepping up our efforts now could pay off big.

​Healthcare, as we know it today, has many issues. Today's political society seems to be focused on fixing that broken medical system through policy change, however, we believe that system just needs a new partner. It needs a series of strategically located medical cooperatives around the country which are owned by the patients themselves. This cooperative system will reduce stresses on the Costa Rican Medical system, while also creating medical Tourism to regions outside of San Jose.

A Naturopathic Medical Wellness Clinic is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate a solution in this area. Combining Real Diagnostic Equipment and a network of Naturopathic Medical Doctors as teachers from Naturopathic Medical Schools in the U.S working together with Costa Rican MD's to diagnose patients and treat with pharmaceuticals only as a last resort.

Our Goal is the #1 Primary School System in the Country
Bringing the 6 zones of Costa Ballena together, utilizing 4 different models available in the region including Charter Schools, Project Life Education, Kabe, and Public Schools. Together we intend to create one of the best school systems on the planet partnering with proven international systems for language, earth sciences, arts, and sports.

If necessary we will remove the state from the school system altogether, as they are failing to keep the education system at a decent level. only parents can do this by working together.

Physical Phone Book
A Tiny Half Page Sized Phone Book for times you don't want to use the internet or don't have it!
As we all wish to reduce the need for technology in our lives there is a call from the public for a physical phone book. This physical book will be paid for by advertisers and produced on recycled paper produced here in Costa Rica. By creating a resource that doesn't require a smartphone we can offer a try public service for those who wish to reduce the use of devices. This will also be a fundraiser as we will sell each copy for $5 as well.
